Technical Operations Lead
Studio Wizards provides specialist IT, infrastructure, and security support for game development studios.
We’re looking for a senior technical lead to take ownership of day-to-day support operations, client delivery, and technical escalations as the business grows.
This role will play a key part in leading day-to-day support operations, client delivery, and technical service quality as Studio Wizards continues to grow.
You’ll work directly with game studios across the UK and Europe, supporting highly creative teams working with Unreal Engine, remote collaboration workflows, high-performance workstations, cloud platforms, and modern Microsoft environments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead day-to-day support operations across studio clients
· Act as a senior escalation point for technical issues
· Own onboarding and technical delivery for new studio clients
· Manage and improve internal support processes and documentation
· Oversee endpoint management, patching, monitoring, and security tooling
· Support mixed Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
· Work with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, networking, VPNs, and infrastructure platforms
· Assist with infrastructure projects and technical planning
· Build trusted relationships with studio leadership and technical teams
· Coordinate with third-party vendors, ISPs, and hosting providers
· Help shape the long-term operational direction of Studio Wizards
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Extensive exposure in an MSP, studio IT, or infrastructure support environments
· Strong Microsoft 365/Entra/Intune experience
· Experience supporting creative or game development environments
· Comfortable with networking, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and firewall troubleshooting
· Experience with RMM tooling and operational support processes
· Exposure to Windows, macOS, and Linux support
· Strong communication and client-facing skills
· Able to work independently and take ownership
· Game studio experience and/or a deep passion for the gaming industry

· Unreal Engine or high-performance workstation environments
· Cloud infrastructure exposure (AWS/Azure)
· Security and compliance experience
· Experience mentoring junior engineers
WORKING PATTERN
Typically, 3 days per week onsite (Monday–Wednesday), with additional onsite visits to client studios as required; external visits may vary week to week,
